An avid reader, some of Avery's favorite authors include Agatha Christie, Wilbur Smith, Iris Johansen and Jonathan Kellerman. 

​In the WATCH ME Series, Avery loves dishing up a page-turning plot while exploring depth of character in both the heroes and the villains... "They never fail to surprise me," she says.  "The more I write, the more I learn about my characters--their strengths and weaknesses, and most importantly, their secrets." 

AVERY HOLT has been a fan of mystery and suspense for most of her life.  Growing up, she loved going to her local library and bringing home bags of books, like the Three Investigators Series (featuring Jupiter Jones), Encyclopedia Brown, and the Choose Your Own Adventure Series.​
